An Elegy for the Unhoused
For the four slain on the CTA
What’s good everyone,
Today I posted a video on IG for the four recently slain on the CTA Blue Line train here in Chicago. It’s grieved my heart how three of the four were asleep when they became victims of this random, execution-style death. I take the Blue Line often, and see the homeless there often, laid out, sheltering there from whatever elements they find unpleasant, if not downright, inimical to their existence. It grieves me the extent of the country’s cruel obsession with guns.
